  • 62 AD, Emperor Nero marries Poppaea Sabina, also known as Ollia.
  • 63 AD, Ollia gives birth to Emperor Nero’s only child, Claudia Augusta. Claudia Augusta would fall to illness in May of the same year.
  • 1525 AD, The Swiss Anabaptist movement begins in the Zurich home of Felix Manz as the founding members of the Swiss Brethren baptized each other.
  • 1793 AD, Deposed French King Louis XVI executed by guillotine.
  • 1976 AD, the Concorde supersonic airliner flew its first commercial flights.
  • 1997 AD, Newt Gingrich becomes the first Speaker of the US House to be formally reprimanded for ethics violations in a vote of 395 in favor and 28 opposed.
